Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has expressed worries over the recent killings in Ukum LGA of the state.

He lamented that the killlings were not perpetrated by people from outside, but that they were people from within killing their fellow brothers in the state.

“These are killlings from within. There is no one who came from outside to commit these killings. It is you, my very brothers killling each other; it is right within the house and that must stop.”

For the eight years of Samuel Ortom as governor, he had claimed the Fulani from outside were killers of people in Benue and many lives of Fulani within and in other parts of Nigeria had been lost as a result of that claim.

By the revelation coming from the new governor, generally believed to be a true Christian cleric, the lies that the killlings were from Fulani herdsmen! are now unfolded.

“This is a Govr telling his people the simple truth. It’s time South East governments and leaders stand up and do the same, instead of double-speaking to justify senseless self destruction in support of a nafarious separatist agitation for Biafa Republic,” a concerned Nigerian reacted in a message circulated on trusted social media platforms on Thursday.
