*They will make APC head for the rock in 2023, if not checked, it says

By IBRAHIM KANOMA, Gusau
The Zamfara State Patriotic Association has expressed dismay over the attitude of some governors of the governing party, which it says is aimed at destroying the party.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Interim Chairman of the association, Alhaji Ibrahim Nabature Nahuce, shared to media including The DEFENDER in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, on Tuesday.
The association said, if the excesses of Governors Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa and Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State are not checked, the party would be heading for the rock in 2023.
He said the behaviours of the Governors in respect of various crises happening within the party across the country are worrisome and appealed to the APC hierarchy, to call them to order for the success of the party before and during the 2023 general elections.
Nabature Nahuce further said “members of the association observe with dismay report going round on the media that the former Governor Abdulaziz Yari has dumped APC for PDP,” he debunked the report reiterating that the “former governor has never contemplated leaving APC as a founding member of the APC.”
He called on the members of the APC in the state to remain steadfast and be law abiding at all times.
