At NTIC, academic excellence backed with good morals our priority, Authorities say as school rewards best performers
The Nigeria Tulip International College (NTIC), Ogun State Branch has awarded four best graduating students for the 2018 academic session with full scholarship to further their education at the Nile University of Nigeria in Abuja.
This happened as the school authorities reiterated that academic excellence backed with good morals is their priority.
Princiapl of NTIC, Mr. Ercan Yilmaz, said the college does not only reward for best academic performance but also reward students with best of character.
He stated this while speaking at the 13th Graduation and Valedictory Ceremony of the Nigeria Tulip International College (NTIC), Ogun State branch, held at the NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday June 23, 2018.
Yilmaz stressed that the school was committed to building an all-round students which can match with any such students in any part of the world.
He said that the freshly graduating students of the school had given a good account of themselves and had contributed in no small measure to the way some of the programmes for their class had been shaped.
“I believe they learned much from this school and the much they learnt, by God’s support would see them settling to the rigours and demands of tertiary education in any part of the world.
“These crops of students passed through the necessary tutelage of their respective subject teachers and their counselors. They have been adjudged by all students and have not disappointed us,” he said.
Speaking further, the Principal said without any sense of contradiction that the college could reliably claim that the graduating students had been equipped to forge ahead in their academic careers.
“With God’s assured guidance and their parents support, they would certainly go places. They are like eagles that are fully equipped and ready to soar high and accomplish their great goals in life.
“We can proudly say too that we are releasing the eagles that are empowered to conquer the world in their respective chosen fields. We are sure in no distant future they would be celebrated as we are doing with them today,” he added.
Chairman of the Parents Teachers Forum (PTF) of NTIC, Alhaji Aminu Opeyemi, advised the graduating students to add value to humanity and be determined to be successful.
He said that the graduation was not about what they have done at the college but how they could make use of the opportunities in the higher institution to shape their future.
“What you are able to get in the university is what will shape you. Try as much as possible to make use of it and don’t take the responsibility of your graduation with levity,’’ he said.
However the four best graduating students that were awarded 100 percent free tuition at university level in Nile University Abuja are; Ifolaja Busayo, Habiba Taiwo, Sanusi Ganiyatu and Omaore God’s-Favour.
On the background of the whole show is that, NTIC’s programmes and activities have always been premised on building a virile society where academic excellence, good character and teachers-parents relationship are well valued.
It is the reason the school has sustained its place as international best in academic competitions particularly in mathematics and sciences.
