Army organises sanitation, medical outreach for Calabar residents

The Headquarters 13 Brigade Nigerian Army has announced it will hold Nigeria Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2017 on Thursday 6 July 2017.

As part of the event the Brigade will carryout a general environmental sanitation exercise and medical outreach for the people of Calabar Municipality and Calabar South on Saturday July 1 by 7am. A statement by Army Public Ralatons Officer of the 13 Brigade Calabar, Captain KO Owolabi, stated this on Thursday.

Captain Owolabi, according to the statenent, said, “This is in keeping with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General TY Buratai’s Vision on excellent Civil-military relations.

“The sanitation and medical Outreach exercises are intended to enhance confidence building with members of the public and to achieve a better working environment for security operations.
It is based on this premise that members of the public are advised not to panic when they see a large number of Army personnel on the streets of calabar.

“In view of the above,you are please request to disseminate the information to general public.
Please accept the esteemed regards of the commanderr,” he said.
