The decisions of the National Executive Council (NEC) convened by court-installed Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria, Chief Victor Giadom, and attended by President Muhammadu Buhari last Thursday have finally been accepted by Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole.

The NEC, finding lasting solution to the internal crisis in the party, dissolved the National Working Committee (NWC) left behind by Oshiomhole and set up a caretaker committee chaired by Governor of Yobe State, Mallam Mala Buni.

Oshiomhole was suspended by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in March and the suspension, following his appeal, was upheld by Court of Appeal in Abuja on June 16, 2020.

Speaking in a media briefing in Abuja on Saturday, he expressed delight over what, according to him, he was able to achieve as chairman of governing party and that he did not regret whatever actions he took while in there.

Oshiomhole said he was invited by President Muhammadu Buhari to reposition the APC and he was duty-bound to obey him as the leader of the party, since the same president in his wisdom has agreed to the dissolution of the NWC.
