APC holds grand reconciliation rally in Gusau

The All Progressives Congress (APC) factions in Zamfara State, on Monday, held a reconciliatory grand rally to seal their earlier series of meetings and agreements.

The rally, aimed at bringing an end to party acrimony in the state by the political actors in the state, was held at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Gusau the state capital with all the political leaders and major gladiators and followers of all major actors in attendance.

Governor Bello Matawalle, former Governors Ahmad Sani Yarima Bakura, Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi and Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar were among part dignitaries that attended.

Others included the state Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Mohammed Nasiha, Senator Kabiru Marafa, Senator Saidu Dansadau, Senator Sahabi Yau and a host of others.

Speakers during the event spoke in favour of reconciliation and urged their supporters to forget the past and look into the future with a view to providing lasting peace and progress in Zamfara State.

They also spoke of the virtues of reconciliation and its benefits to the peace and development of Zamfara State, even as they appealed to all those yet to be part of the reconciliation to join for the sake of peace of the state and its people.
