The rate at which evil machination much inclined towards snuffing lives out of people through different means continue to rise in Ogun State as two prostitutes named Kudirat Raji, also known as Angela, and her colleague, Esther Basiru, have allegedly killed their male customer, Adeyinka Olayinka.
The Ogun State Police Command, in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi, an assistant superintendent of police (ASP), copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER, disclosed this on Wednesday.
The two suspected killer prostitutes have been arrested and currently under interrogations by the state police command, the statement said.
“The men of Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday 30th of May 2017 arrested two prostitutes for killing a middle aged man in a hotel situated in Ifo area of the State.
“The two suspects Kudirat Raji ‘f’ a.k.a (Angela) and Esther Basiru are at KS Hotel Ifo where the victim one Adeyinka Olayinka ‘m’ who was supervising a construction work going on in his building site decided to pass the night on the fateful day.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim contracted Kudirat Raji to pass the night with him on an agreed amount, but the deceased reneged on their agreement which led to hot argument between them.
“While the argument was going on, Esther Basiru who is a friend to Angela broke a bottle and injured the deceased’s friend who was at the scene while Angela used the broken part of the bottle to stab the deceased on the armpit thereby cut one of his nerves, consequent upon which he bled to death,” ASP Oyeyemi said in the statement.
It was the hotel manager, who immediately after discovering the crime alerted the Ifo Police Division following which the DPO, Anthony Haruna, led his men to the scene and promptly arrested the two suspects. The statement said.
“The Manager of the Hotel quickly alerted the Police and the DPO Ifo Division CSP Anthony Haruna led his men to the scene and promptly arrested the two suspects.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the transfer of the case to Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for discrete investigation and possible prosecution of the suspects.”
