AlHassan resumes as Cross River’s 42nd CP in Calabar

The new Cross River State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Aminu AlHassan, is expected resumes duty as 42nd police boss the state has had.

CP Aminu, it was gathered, will take over from CP Sikiru Akande, who is barely eight months in office as the state’s Police Commissioner having resumed in Calabar January 2021.

Until his redeployment to Cross River State, CP Alhassan Aminu served as a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Delta State. He also directed command operations at the Bayelsa State Police Command as DCP operations.

The new Cross River State Police Commissioner was among the 35 Deputy Commissioners of Police, recently promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police by the Police Service Commission.

Meanwhile, CP Sikiru Akande has been redeployed as CP ICT at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
