Akeredolu announces key appointments, as ‘Abena’ becomes SSG

The newly inaugurated Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has approved some of the key appointments of his young administration.

The appointments include that of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief of Staff, Chief of Protocol and among others.

The appointments were announced through a statement from the office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, made available to the press on Monday.

According to the statement, former Member of the House of Representatives representing Akure South and Akure North at the Seventh National Assembly, Honourable Ifedayo Abegunde, popularly called Abena, is now the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) while Chief Olugbenga Ale is the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Government.

Other appointments approved by Governor Akeredolu include Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Administration and Policy Planning, held by Mr. Jones Ogunmusire, Senior Special Assistant, Legislative Matters, Rt. Hon. Taofeek Olawale Abdulsalam, Senior Special Assistant, Research and Documentation, Mr. Kunle Adebayo, Senior Special Assistant, Infrastructure, Engr. Raheem Olayiwola Aminu and Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties and Strategy Dr. Doyin Odewale.

Akeredolu also appointed his Chief of Protocol (CoP) as Tosin Ogunbodede and Deputy Chief of Protocol, Bola Alabi.

All appointments, according to the statement, take immediate effect.
