Wife of Nigeria’s President, Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has appreciated Nigerians thanking them for their show of love supporting her husband in office and for his re-election.
She also called on the people to follow up the campaign support by voting President Buhari into office again in the Saturday’s 16 February 2019 presidential election.
According to a statement by her Director of Information Mr. Suleiman Haruna, Mrs also expressed gratitude to the Nigerian people for their support they had given to her husband in the last three years and nine months in office as President of the country.
Describing their support as unprecedented, the wife of the president expressed delight in the show of love he received wherever he went across the country, especially during the electioneering campaign.
“Mrs Buhari also expressed the hope that Nigerians will vote for her husband en masse to return and continue the good job he is doing.
“She used the opportunity to thank officials and members of the 700-strong Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team for traversing the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. She also thanked wives of governors and elders who were on the advisory council.
“Mrs. Buhari is optimistic that the government of President Muhammad Buhari has done a lot in the area of social engineering, infrastructure, and overall development. She cited the effort of government in reducing the gap between the haves and have-nots and the school feeding programme.
“She promised that government will continue these good works and introduce many more until Nigeria returns to its pride of place in Africa and the global community,” Haruna said in the copy of a statement he sent to The DEFENDER on Thursday.
