AFCON 2023: Nigeria’s IGP, Egbetokun, sends victory message to super Eagles Cote d’Ivoire

The Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has urged the Super Eagles to beat host Côte d’Ivoire in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final today, Sunday February 11, 2024.

According to a statement by Force Public Relations Officer,  ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, IGP Egbetokun urged the Nigerian representatives at the AFCON to sustain the momentum gathered from the Round of 16 till the final.

He said the players have demonstrated the Nigerian resilient spirit by overcoming all the hurdles at the AFCON.

The IGP said, “I urge you to defeat Côte d’Ivoire in today’s final and put smiles on the faces of Nigerians both home and abroad.

“This is a clear demonstration of the Nigerian resilient spirit. I wish the players all the best ahead of the final and urge you to sustain this momentum as we aim for the ultimate prize.

“You have further united Nigerians from every spheres of lives with you wins and I strongly believe winning the final will further strengthen our unity in the country,” he said.

The three-time African kings’ plan winning her fourth title following the steps of the 2013 Super Eagles squad.
