Nigeria’s former Minister of Communications, Barr. Adebayo Shittu, has been invited as chief guest speaker at a presidential campaign mobilisation and sensitisation event in United States of America.
The event, which is organised by All Progressives Congress Diaspora – North America Chapter, will feature a lecture themed, “Asiwaju/Shettima’s Candidacy: Birth of Renewed Hope”.
According to an invitation letter to the former Minister, signed by the Chapter’s Secretary, Adeniyi Adekola, the North America Chapter is a sister body for the APC in Nigeria as well as political and social cultural platform for all progressives in the Diaspora.
“The event is aimed creating a formidable awareness among party faithful and intended members alike. Additionally, it will be a forum to discuss and kick off the campaign drive, remotely and in person, towards ensuring victory of our party’s presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party at the polls come 2023,” the letter said.
Barr. Shittu will speak at the event holding in the Clinton Manor Banquet, 2737 US HWY 22 W Union, New Jersey, 07083, USA from 6.00pm to 11.00pm on November 18, 2022.
