An owner of intellectual property and member Nigerian Turkish Nile University community in Abuja, Professor Kamal Bello, has cautioned truth seeking Nigerians against mislead by elites.

The former Acting Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University Mubi gave the caution through his official Facebook handle on Sunday where he said anyone undesirous of being categorised with “fools” should be guarded against taking just any printed material and taking it to be truth no matter how authoritative it sounds or looks.

Professor Bello, a regular feature in television discourse on issues of national question, regretted that some Nigerians started using claim by Obadiah Mailafiya, former Deputy Governor of Central of Nigeria (CBN) and ADO Presidential Candidate in the 2019 general elections, as reference to support a fact.

He sounded it clearly, to whom it may concern therefore, why not all printed materials are published and why not all that are published can be taken taken as intellectual materials.

“I have said it severally that not all printed are published materials. And not all published are intellectual materials.

“To show how uncritical minded we are, we have been quoting Obadiah as authority because he has  PhD from Oxford University in United Kingdom and he is a former Deputy Governor of  Central Bank of  Nigeria.  Until  DSS drilled him for the source of his information and he said it’s locals in his village market. It’s then we realized we have always been fooled by our so called elites who knows nothing other than their mouth and pocket.

“Unfortunately some will continue to fool us and we shall continue to be fooled,” the straight and Frank professor warned.
