Zamfara to conduct Local Government election on Nov 16 – ZSIEC
*Says Chairmanship, Councillorship forms sales commence October 25

The Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZSIEC) has 16th November 2024 as the day for local government elections across the state.
This was announced by the Chairman of the Commission, Bala Aliyu Gusau, while briefing journalists on the preparation of the election in his office in Gusau, the state capital.
He said adequate arrangements have been made to ensure hitch free election as, according to him, the commission is fully prepared for the task ahead.
He further said all the guidelines and procedures for the exercise would be communicated to relevant agencies and political parties for proper guidance.
Bala Gusau said the commission would leave no stone unturned to ensure it delivered its constitutional mandate of conducting free and fair election that would be acceptable to all parties involved.
He said the commission would commence the sales of nominations forms for both the chairmen and the councillors on October 25, 2024.
He urged all participating political parties to play game according to the rules and regulations of party election.
