Report reaching us at The DEFENDER says Operatives of the Department of the State Services (DSS) have, reportedly, arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero.

According to an online newspaper in Nigeria, Ajaero was arrested Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on his way to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.

The NLC president was billed to attend the Trade Union Congress conference in London, which begins today.

Details and reasons for the arrest are still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
