OAU AWARD: Gen Olanrewaju felicitates with Yusuf Ali SAN, calls him ‘professionally sound law leader’

Former Minister of Communications and General Officer Commanding (GOC) Nigerian Army, Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd), has described Professor Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN) as a professionally sound lawyer to the pride of Nigeria.
The Retired General made this description in a congratulatory message to the legal icon as he bags the 2024 Academic and Research Excellence Award of tge Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria on Tuesday July 30, 2024.
Olanrewaju, also a Life Member of The DEFENDER Newspaper Advisory Board like the honouree, said Ali deserves the honour being bestowed on him by the prestigious university.
“Yussuf Ali (SAN) is a pride to our nation and his family. He is a professionally sound law leader with a mindset for social justice.
“He deserves the honour being bestowed on him by the UNIFE SENATE. He is a calm, humble statesman with a patriotic disposition. Congratulations, Gentleman Officer of the Republic,” said Maj-Gen Tajudeen Olanrewaju Rtd, DSS, psc(+), ndc.
