Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is dead

Member representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, is dead.

The Federal legislator, who flew to the United Kingdom since he seriously took ill few weeks ago, died in a London hospital morning.

His condition reportedly became critical 48 hours before breathing his last on Saturday. The cause of death is not clear as at Saturday morning.

Ubah was elected Senator in 2019 on the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) and reelected on that platform in 2023.

He defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier this year and has indicated interest in seeking the governorship of Anambra State in next year’s election.

Ubah contested the 2021 Anambra governorship election and came fourth in a contest won by Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
