Kano agog as Gov Yusuf returns to Kano amid mammoth crowd
It was a crowdy Sunday in Kano as thousands of residents converged at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), to receive Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf back home from Abuja.
Governor Yusuf was warmly received on arrival by his deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo; Speaker Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Isma’il Jibrin Falgore; Chief of Staff, Alhaji Shehu Sagagi; Head of Service , Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, members of National and State Assemblies from Kano; members of Kano state executive council; Special Advisers among thousands of red cap loyalists of Kwankwasiyya movement.
Governor Yusuf’s triumphant return amidst mammoth crowd after the hearing of his appeal at the Supreme Court against the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) further testified his strong popularity and wide acceptance by Kano people.
With the huge crowd of cheerful admirers and well wishers, it took the Governor’s convoy over 3 hours journey between Malam Aminu International Airport, to Sani Abacha Stadium where Governor Yusuf was warmly received.
The excitement of the governor was vividly apparent in his face as he can not even put his hands down in exchanging pleasantries to the cheering of the crowd.
