Osolo of Isolo attends Yoruba Obas Forum annual meeting in Ibadan

The Osolo of Isolo Kingdom, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, His Royal Majesty Oba Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole, Akesoogun Orisa Obaluaye Mosu, Osalade II, was among prominent royal fathers, who converged on the Ona Kakanfo Hotel, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, for Yoruba Obas’ Forum Convention/Annual General Meeting 2023.
A stalement by Special Assistant to the Osolo of Isolo on Media and Adminisration, Comrade Ayomide Michael, said the Association of Yoruba Obas Forum comprises royal fathers across South West states, including Yoruba speaking communities in Kogi and Kwara states with its headquarters in Ibadan.
Aims and objectives of the association is to promote and sustain Yoruba traditions, culture and customs.
The forum also aims to foster unity and cooperations among Yoruba Obas and its communities.
At the Saturday’s meeting, the Forum elected its new executive council as a renown Oba from Ilaje Local Government, His Royal Majesty Oba Samuel Adeoye JP, Edema I, the Molokun of Atijere Kingdom was elected its National President.
Obas in attendance among many others were the newly elected executive members are; Molokun of Atijere, Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa, Alagbado of Agbado, Aare of Ago Aare, Olujumu of Ijumu, Asuada of Isuada, Olukotun of Ikotun Ile, Olota of Ota Ikosi, Onigode of Igode, Abigi of Ojotun, Olu Igbokoda, and Alayandelu of Odo Aayandelu.
Others included the Olu of Aga Olowo, Aare Alawo Ekun of Ofiki Land, Ologijo of Ogijo, Onilekki of Lekki who are elected in various capacities.
