KADUNA: Police gives account of activities, says 21 bandits killed, 780 others arrested, 206 victims rescued in 2022
*Successes possible due state govt, traditional rulers, public supports

As the Kaduna State police Command gave account of its activities for the year ending in the state capital on Wednesday, it said said that it killed 21 bandits and arrested 780 other suspects for various offences at different locations in the state between January through December 2022.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Yekini Ayoku, who disclosed the information while addressing a press conference on activities of the command for the year ending, said that 206 kidnap victims were equally rescued by operatives of the state police command during the year under review.
The CP, speaking in his office, also disclosed that the rescued 206 kidnap victims rescued by the command at different locations in Kaduna State, while 49 rifles of different make and 1,359 rounds of live ammunition, he added, were recovered.
In addition, the command also recovered stolen vehicles and operational motorcycles being used by bandits and other criminal elements to carry out their nefarious activities
CP Ayoku also said that a total number of 116 suspects were convicted for various crimes. He, however, attributed the successes recorded by the command to the support of the Kaduna State Government, traditional rulers and members of the public.
