President Buhari, Sokoto Gov Tambuwal meet behind closed doors in Aso Rock Presidential Villa

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday received in audience, Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, in Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Details of discussion off both leaders, who med behind closed doors, were not available as at the time of this report but, The DEFENDER believes that the meeting would not be far from how to move the nation forward, especially from the governor’s end in the North West state of Sokoto.
A source, however, guessed if the visit by Tambuwal was not about to make Nigerians witness yet another state of surprises in the 2023 politics, as his meeting with the President was coming few days after he had kicked against a purported consensus arrangement for choosing the presidential candidate of his party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), denying his involvement in it.
The Sokoto State’s chief executive officer is one of the front runners for the opposition PDP presidential ticket for the forthcoming general election to succeed Buhari as next President of the country.
Although the governor kept sealed lips after meeting with the President on Tuesday, The DEFENDER still pushed further to get an inroad to extracting the core of the meeting between the governor and the President was yet to succeed.
Governor Tambuwal, the most humble Nigerian governor endowed with his power of smile joined with pure heart, meeting with President Buhari, a leader known at the continental and global stage for his humility and incorruptibility, remains suspicious to some of the respondents that spoke to this online newspaper.
