Chinese FM Wang Yi lands in Delhi, his first visit after Ladakh face-off started

Chinese Foreign Minister and State Councilor, Wang Yi, landed in Delhi on Thursday, the first India visit by a senior leader from Beijing since armies of the two nations fought in eastern Ladakh in May 2020.
The standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), and a brutal clash in Galwan Valley in June 2020 that resulted in the death of 20 Indian soldiers and at least four Chinese troops, have taken bilateral relations to an all-time low.

Yi is likely to meet national security advisor Ajit Doval and external affairs minister S Jaishankar on Friday.
