Following the news of Magajin Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba’s death, on Saturday, the Attah of Aiyede Kingdom, Ekiti State, Oba Alhaji AbdulMumini Adebayo Orishagbemi, Arojojoye Abolokewa IV, has send his condolences to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, and the entire people of Sokoto Caliphate.
Oba Orishagbemi described the death of the Magaji at a prime age of 51 as shocking and sad, even as he said “it could have been better should we have a way to avoid this calamity of the highest order but the decision by Allah is far beyond us”.
In a statement issued on his behalf by his Media and Publicity Office, the Attah noted that the death of Hassan Danbaba, the only surviving grandson of Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, is a great loss not only to Sokoto but Nigeria, considering his contribution to food security in recent times until his death on Saturday.
“His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, mni, as my Spiritual Leader, is a Sheikh that already knows about death and its inevitability with humanity. So, there is no preaching I want to do with regards to the loss just recorded in the death of Magajin Garin Sokoto except that, I can only pray to Allah to give the Sultan, family of the deceased chief and the entire people of the Caliphate the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the Attah said.
Oba AbdulMumini Orishagbemi prayed for the repose of Hassan Danbaba in Al-Jannah Firdauz.
