PDP dismantled from roots as National Chairman, Secondus, 3 Govs join APC soonest
*Using foreign elements like Twitter to promote fake news, corruption, insecurity reason PDP can no longer fly in Nigeria – Respondent
Agbegua said as a source responding to his bitter revelation wondered how he failed to still realize the fact that PDP’s style of using foreign elements and platforms like Twitter in collaboration with local ones to promote fake news and insecurity in their country they ruled for 16 uninterrupted years without anything but devastating corruption and damages to show is reason the party cannot fly any longer and not just poor handling by Secondus.
Ahead of 2023 general elections, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, may dump PDP for the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
This revelation was made by a chieftain of PDP and former Commissioner in Edo State, Prince Kassim Afegbua, in a statement on Sunday 27 June, 2021.
Afegbua has called for the sack of PDP Chairman for his poor handling of party affairs, adding that three serving governors on PDP platform, two from the North East and one from the South East have also concluded plans to dump the party.
While reacting to the recent defections of Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Peter Nwaoboshi and Zamfara State governor, Hon. Mohammed Bello Matawalle, from the PDP to APC, Afegbua noted that power arrogance in Delta State has made the Senator to quit.
“If you add salt to the injuries already inflicted, the defection of the Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mutawalle to the APC brings double jeopardy to an already bad situation. The Uche Secondus leadership looks apparently helpless and dithering like a lost sheep in the desert,” the PDP chieftain said.

Afegbua however continued: “I have every cause to believe there is possibly a huge conspiracy between the Uche Secondus-led NWC and the Caretakers Committee of the APC, to keep quiet while the opposition is being plundered through defection.
“I won’t be surprised if by tomorrow Uche Secondus decides to defect to the APC for reasons that are obvious.
“As I write this, another PDP Governor from the South-East is also warming up to defect. Also, another PDP Governor from the North-East is warming up to defect if the right leadership is not put in place to halt this drift. Save PDP now before it is too late.
“The time to sack Uche Secondus leadership is now, now and now. Postponing the evil day will only deepen the crisis of confidence that is presently on full throttle across the structures of the party.”
