WAKE UP: Herdsmanism as a twist and tool of international conspiracies
By BASHIR ADEFAKA
“What is currently seen as cry of herdsmen killing is nothing but last resort by the international conspirators to use or hijack agelong herders/farmers clashes to sow the seed of discord and hatred among Nigerians seeing it as one other thing that will work for the achievement of their aims and objectives – to break Nigeria into pieces.”
Sturning discoveries have been made about why insecurity has escalated from militancy in the Niger Delta to Boko Haram in the North East and now from militia of North Central, bandits in the North West to the IPOB of South East of Nigeria. All of these are represented in the organised crimes kidnapping, ritual killings and armed robbery cases that have overstretched the military of the country. Those who made the terrorists would always naturally fail to sustain them, especially when the government of the country is as proactive as Muhammadu Buhari has done with the Army under Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under Mr. Godwin Emefiele and others blocking the evil ones militarily and through their finances’ pipelines. They will be left with no option than to sustain the tide and so there is kidnapping. And where that is difficult, they go into ritual killings all in effort to get money and there are also some sponsors, even of that, and who are still loyally holding forth for their foreign recruiters and sponsors while pipeline for their international funding is cut off by government. They are the ones using the tag “herdsmen” as operational logo in a society of many vulnerable thinkers, regardless of being educated people.
The tag of “herdsmen” is simply to distract and remove obstacle. They use it to take attention from the fact that the same terrorists who destroyed the North East are now recruited into the bushes of Southern Nigeria especially the South West thinking that, because they have used insurgency in the North East to overstretch the military, there will be no enough counter-efforts against them in the South. They were however staunched to their bone-marrow when General Buratai launched all kinds of Army’s Exercises and Operations such as Exercise CROCODILE SMILE, OP-MESA, Exercise PYTHON DANCE, etc, still thwarting their evils across the South and waxing stronger in doing so. They needed to move from being direct to indirect. Hence the disguise as herdsmen in perpetrating their evils. By using ‘herdsmen’ as tool to remove obstacle, the terrorists plotted to remove the only tribe with all potentials to stand to them in the face and stop their atrocities: the Fulani tribe.
That explains why all of a sudden, communities even in the North and across South turned against their hitherto easy going Fulani neighbours blaming them for kidnapping and other crimes in their communities. The idea was that, “Are they not the ones saying Nigeria cannot break? When we cause enemty between them and the rest tribes of the country, they will be austracized and pushed away if not entirely killed for us to have our way,” that is the thought of the conspirators. Pitifully, leadership, past and present, of a particular religious association in Nigeria will have themselves to blame regrettably for allowing themselves to be used at all times for these conspiracies to thrive against their own country because of their own hate for other people’s religion. It is these international conspiracies that those fake prophets who have been given prophesies of doom and never of greatness about Nigeria work for – self-stomach. It is the same conspiracies that some media elements represent when they choose to be selective in fair and balanced reportage: deliberately using ethnicity and religion of criminals to calve headlines when it affects a person with North or Fulani traces but go neutral when the criminal is of Southern tracing.
This is serious evil and unfairness towards the Fulani and there is no disputing that. But they care not once the interest of the conspirators is fulfilled and money changed hands. They are all in effort of elements involved in the international conspiracies against peaceful, strong, formidable and united Nigeria to press home their aim of cutting the country into pieces in fulfilment of their long predictions of break-up.
While we must commend the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, for weathering all the storms so far, thwarting their self-centered mission, we must however issue a warning to the government on one hand and religious communities in the country on the other to go and know the reality of the fact that those who want Nigeria to break and collapse, although President Buhari has frustrated their plans bigway, are responsible for the insecurity in the country. That is why suddenly it appears Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorism resurged and has appeared to remain. It is not true. But because the conspiracy elements successfully hide under international humanitarian and human rights organisations in areas affected by the insurgencies, who are believed to be aiding the insecurity by celebrating the killings of soldiers by terrorists to spite the government, while screaming and raising human rights issues over every killing and arrest of terrorists, that is why it appears the war against Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorism lingers. It does not. It is all the idea of the West, United States of America and Europe put together.
It should bother every sincere patriot and true blood Africanist to ask, “Why is this insecurity heavier in Nigeria?” It is deeply rooted here because, the international conspirators see Nigeria as a trigger for the whole of Africa. Anything that happens by or from Nigeria and which affects the country affects the entire continent of Africa. And they know that the potentials for the freedom of Africa are concentrated in Nigeria, who are mainly resident in the Fulani herdsmanism skill of Northern Nigeria and some other few outside that region namely the Awolowo and the MKO Abiola in South West. There are some few others to in the South East who are deliberately unsung to make Igbo people look hateful of the marriage of Nigeria.
So, anyone who has made effort in the direction of the vision of the Fulani strongmanism to face challenges of external forces aiming at collapsing Nigeria and overcome them in the true sense of national security, peace and development, the West beam the searchlight of their wicked conspiracy on him with intent to frustrating and eliminating him. That was why Mammour Gaddafi was killed. Nothing else. That was why General Sani Abacha was killed. It was the same reason Awolowo was never allowed access to national authority but his own tribesmen were holding the belief of Northern conspiracy, which is not correct because, those involved in the electoral system and the entire adjudicative ssytem and process in the transitions of First Republic and Second Republic were largely people of Southern regions.
Some people still hold the belief that Abiola did not become President of Nigeria because of a curse placed on him by Awolowo, which, as a true African blood, I do not dispute. Some other ones say it was Northern oligarchy using the power of military to make sure no Southerner ever tasted of the nation’s seat of power. But in truth, MKO Abiola’s problem was because of his potentiality to ask the West, America and Europe, to account for their evils against Africa and pay reparation. Nothing else. So, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, GCFR, knew what he was saying about annulment of June 12, 1993 botched Presidential election during which Nigeria had its best chance to climbing to true African Giant status and, by extension, to be counted as one of the world largest economies. Those that should be asked questions about June 12 annulment are those involved in the so called Association for Better Nigeria (ABN) at a time dollars exchanged for N5 and a bag of rice sold for between N500 and N800 (1993 compared to those prices 1999 to date), the Arthur Nzeribes and their judiciary collaborators. They should be able to speak. And here, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha has a big respect to be given for his dodged fight against local collaborators, who give the international conspirators a lifeline to succeed on Abacha and thus scuttling his programmes for true emancipation of Nigeria: oil sector/NNPC reports, deregulation of the telecommunications sector, banking reforms that laid bare the faces of thieves holding back the political economy progress of Nigeria and insistence on stable forex as well as petroleum pump prices. To succeed self as civilian President was an excuse unjustified for the anti-Abacha roars because the same West fighting him aides many other Generals e.g. Sisi of Egypt to succeed themselves as civilian Presidents. Why was Abacha’s different?
Today, if there is any other African leader that has loved Africa and Nigeria so much and wants to truly step on the way to true liberation, he is the Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. He knows the conspiracies and conspirators that are working against Nigeria’s effort to be part of world largest economies; the West never wanted Africa to be self dependent. He knows their capacity of close and remote plots and compromises. That is why he takes his time always not because he is afraid but because he knows that achieving success against conspiracy at any level all the times requires extremely committed tacticism and carefulness.
And President Buhari never pretended about it. He said “I have been Military Head of State before and I will not fall in the same mistake of the past.” Did he not say so? Again, he expressed his concern about ‘hypocrisies’ of democracy and administration of justice under it whereby, against the military era when the investigated person was first arrest and got freed only when he proved to be innocent or accused corrupt person was the one to prove how he got his wealth, he feels hindered by having to first exhaust all investigations before arrest of culprits and prosecutor of the accused corrupt person is the one to proof his corruption. All of these required the citizens and local media to stand up to the President, who had used style to open the issues to them, but alas! Although many committed members of the country and few in the media have resolutely stood by and with him, many chose their stomach and accept dollars from the West hence, aiding the insecurity and confusion that Nigeria has at hand presently.
Herdsmanism as part of the plot
What is currently seen as cry of herdsmen killing is nothing but last resort by the international conspirators to use or hijack agelong herders/farmers clashes to sow the seed of discord and hatred among Nigerians seeing it as one other thing that will work for the achievement of their aims and objectives – to break Nigeria into pieces. Breaking any such potential influence and power into pieces is to cut short what they consider as possible stumbling block in their bid to conquer the world and Arab World and Africa are the ones. Little wonder they split the hitherto United Arab World into pieces, aided and still aid them to take arms against one another. In Nigeria, those that readily make themselves available as tools they fund and use the media to back up and hype reports of their activities. They include religious, ethnic and media elements who are local collaborators yet these local collaborators have no other country except the same Nigeria they are joining hands with their hitherto colonialists in collapsing.
Just before ending this work, President Buhari and his Fulani people should know that, although luckily the conspiracies get thwarted particularly under this government, they are not relenting. The Federal Government and Fulani that is the major target of the conspirators now should not underrate the evil plotters. As the evil conspirators plot, Nigeria too should plot and be ahead of them. The likes of Femi Fani-Kayode, Aliyu Gwarzo and Nnamdi Kanu, who spread hate speech and fake news in the land should not be given breathing space in Nigeria. Not anymore. Heavens will not fall. Because there is nobody the conspirators cannot use money to influence for the activation of evils in him, the likes of Omoyele Sowore, Aisha Yesufu and Sunder Adeyemo a.k.a. Sunday Igboho could be seen fanning the embers of hate and beating the drum of war to burn down their own country forgetting that the West, after funding some similar fellow in Libya, Iraq and Southern Sudan, have not helped them beyond the poverty and crisis level where they dropped to by what they allowed their stomachs to do.
As for them who believe the fake theory that the North or Fulani is responsible for why there is no true federalism and so hate Northerners for same reason, they must do a rethink. This is the fact and truth they Dodge or are made not to see: The South East had all advantage to rule Nigeria as highest ranking in the Army and most educated in the olden days Nigeria. For this, they believed that in even of any Independence, they should have all the other tribes of Nigeria under them. So, they made the mistake to ever stage the First Coup against democratically elected government of Independent Nigeria after it was clear to them that the West had finally taken the rug from beneath them. That was what happened.
Upon their killing and overthrowing the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa government killing all Fulani leaders both in politics and military and two Western Regioners (Akintola and Okotie-Eboh) for being with them, Major General Aguiyi-Ironsi, who emerged after the coup, changed Nigeria’s Constitution from federal to unitary. Before then, the West that gave Independence to Nigeria gave a Constitution that allowed any tribe that wants to part way from amalgamated Nigeria after 100 years but because the South East now in power post-Furst Republic changed the Constitution to unitary and made it that “Nigeria will be an en indivisible entity”. Alas, these are the same people that now want to secede bit it will be impossible because there are no amount of foreign collaborators or conspiracies that will make Nigerian military not to defend the Constitution of indivisible entity of Nigeria to the last. When it favoured them, South East in power made the Military Constitution (not the North in power) that made secession impossubke. But now that the table has turned against them, they want to secede. Reason many South East in politics, military and other security agencies don’t share Nnamdi Kanu sentiments because they know the truth.
Nigeria must stand up now and face it. Already, President Buhari has taken Nigeria off the feet of America and Britain, whose development partnership for over 100 years never gave growth but backwardness to the country, and has linked the nation now with more genuine and better development partners that the People’s Republic of China represents. To win the current battle against the West plot to collapse Nigeria, President Buhari should do more in Asia for development partnership in terms of everything. Nigeria should grow its military powers and be more committed to industrial development and move its data base from server controlled in the West to itself or better global partners. Today, North Korea has successfully existed alone, despite the falsehoods of US Donald Trump as President. #EndSARS movement and #RevolutionNow should be an eye opener for those patriots now in control of the country and they must work in successions to ensure that Nigeria is safe from the whims and caprices of the sponsors and designers of these international conspiracies.
