SEN. ABARIBE – AN EPITOME OF BITTERNESS AND CONFUSION

By AFFY AYOMO

“Abaribe needs to put his acts together. He can begin by learning that there are three arms of government and that he is in government.  I believe President Buhari will not hand over the keys to the Villa to him any time soon, particularly not at this time when he is dismantling Abaribe’s choke hold on the South East.”

Gleefully, I watched this morning, on Channels TV as Senator Abaribe, stewed in his own juice. His bitterness, anger and frustration beclouded his reasoning and judgement.

Worst of all it emerged that Abaribe is bereft of knowledge in basic government that puts government in the hands of the Executive, Legislative and the Judiciary.

Abaribe was reminded on Channelstv that there are 3 arms of government meaning he is part of the Nigerian government.

His response:

“I am not part of the government. I am part of the people voted to represent the people.

Osalobua!

A Nigerian Senator does not understand “Government”. We are in trouble!

So, why are some of us complaining that many Nigerians do not understand that the government belongs to them?

Abaribe’s only concern is to take a mat to the Villa so he can manipulate the system from within.

Those who work in the Villa are PERSONAL STAFF of the President and Vice President. They run errands for the President and Vice President. Abaribe wants to work in the National Assembly and control the Presidency.

And may I humbly remind him that Sunday Agheze, the man he said is inconsequential on National TV for being a photographer to the President, is from somewhere in the South South. Ika people love him.

Abaribe needs to put his acts together. He can begin by learning that there are 3 arms of government and that he is in government.

I believe President Buhari will not hand over the keys to the Villa to him any time soon, particularly not at this time when he is dismantling Abaribe’s choke hold on the South East.
