NAHCON boss, Zikrullahi Hassan, visits Kaduna Governor, Emir of Zaria, speaks on plans to ease Hajj management
In continuation with familiarization tours and inspection of Hajj Development Levy Projects, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Chairman-led delegation was at Usman Katsina House, Kaduna and Zazzau Emirate of Zaria on Tuesday 8th September 2020.
During discussions, the Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullahi Kunle Hassan, informed the gatherings of his board’s vision. In particular, he introduced the Hajj Savings Scheme (HSC), the Hajj Training Institute (HTI), and the hope of negotiating reduction of days spent during Hajj.
In Kaduna, Alhaji Hassan informed the Governor, Mallam Nasiru el-Rufai, of the Commission’s plan to open an outreach office in the state for the facilitation of its operations.
“This is to ease management of Hajj affairs in the state being among those with large number of contingents to Hajj,” he told the governor in whose place the Secretary to the State Government, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, stood.
The governor assured the NAHCON chairman of the state government’s support for all its plans and in establishing a NAHCON outreach office in the state.
The delegation later paid home to the Emir of Zaria, Alhaji Shehu Idris, who personally received the delegation, congratulated and prayed for the success of the new board of the Hajj Commission.
He commended Federal Government for forming such a formidable team.
