BREAKING: US conducts damage assessments as Iran strikes Iraqi military bases home to its troops

Iran has launched “more than a dozen” ballistic missiles against at least two military bases housing U.S. forces in Iraq.

The Pentagon Tuesday night confirmed the attacks in a statement, and said, “It is clear that these missiles were launched from Iran and targeted at least two Iraqi military bases hosting U.S. military and coalition personnel at Al-Assad and Irbil.”

The statement said the department is still conducting initial damage assessments.

It’s not yet clear if there are any casualties.

Iran had earlier Tuesday vowed to retaliate against America in proportionate manner and “against legitimate targets”.
