Shehu Sani slams colleagues over rowdy session at 2019 budget presentation
Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has the show of shame that occurred by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who booed President Muhammadu Buhari while presenting his 2019 budget Wednesday December 19, 2018 as theatre of absurd.
In apparent clarity that lawmakers were not fashioned on booing or cheering any member of the executive on the floors of the Assembly, the senator also took a swipe at his All Progressives Congress (APC) colleagues who cheered saying they were out to seek the attention of the President.
The civil rights activist turned lawmaker described the whole scenario as ridiculous.
By the show of shame displayed, Senator Sani painted the National Assembly as a theater occupied by opera choristers craving for the attention of President Buhari, going as far as cheering even a sip of water, while on the other hand, was the unruly bands who were bent on interrupting President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 budget presentation negatively.
His tweet reads: “The Budget Presentation was a theater of the absurd;one side of the opera occupied by the oleaginous & obsequious choristers craving for the attention of Mr Prez, cheering even a sip of water; And the other occupied by unruly bands of impudent hecklers & discourteous objectors.”
