WAKE UP: Why opposition should let us our peace over Electoral Law imbroglio

By BASHIR ADEFAKA

If Nigeria’s opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) believes that 2015 elections they conducted were free, fair and credible and that it is still the same Electoral Law currently in use, they should save themselves from dangers of heart attack because President Muhammadu Buhari has our mandate not to sign any new Electoral Law until after 2019 elections.

Can somebody hold PDP’s madmanism before it enters market?
How can you cry wolf where none exists?  You have cried over virtually everything that this man Buhari has done yet, the last time we check, he never did any of those things you cry over without consulting with you, if not that you are even the initiators of them.  If you are in doubt, then look at these:
1. TSA/BVN that are running you mad: PDP initiated them but Buhari implemented same.
2. TraderMoni you claimed to be a scam: Yes, Buhari initiated it, sent a Bill to PDP-controlled National Assembly for them to play their own role of approval and they, Abubakar Bukola Saraki leadership of NASS, approved TraderMoni of N10,000 to the petty traders.
3. Police that PDP now cry over as ineffective or witchhunting therefore wanting to make appointment of its IGP the responsible of Senate, the same PDP Senate did not make Bills sponsored on its Reformer see the light of the day.
4. Now you want to be in charge of TraderMoni disbursement (Sen Dino Melaye). How can we as an enlightened country trust a people who diverted Boko Haram War fund to personal account and watched people die in accidents on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway for 16 years without reconstructing the road but are only always concerned about SHARING THE MONEY as TURN-BY-TURN NIGERIA LIMITED shareholders with money needed to support petty traders grow themselves?
5. Recall that Igbo woman Reps who represented Ajeromi/Ifelodun at NASS, during a recent debate on the floor of House of Reps, corroborating her senate and Reps colleagues saw the N5,000 monthly stipend to the poorest of the poor as useless but wanted the money to be diverted to fighting Boko Haram, but failed to comment and tell Nigerians why her party failed to spend over $2.1 billion Boko Haram War fund for what it was appropriated for.
6. Now they are crying that President Muhammadu Buhari has refused to sign Electoral Bill into Law.
7. Please, why are PDP is this desperation about President signing Electoral Bill into Law?
8. The current ELECTORAL LAW they no longer want was what their government put together for the 2015 general elections they falsely claim credit for as free, fair and credible.
9. If PDP believe, sincerely, that they held free, fair and credible election in 2015 and it was this Electoral Law they used, they should save themselves from danger of heart attack because PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI HAS OUT MANDATE NOT TO SIGN ANY NEW ELECTORAL LAW INTO LAW UNTIL AFTER 2019 ELECTIONS!
