Lateef Olawumi declares for House of Reps Saturday

South West Coordinator, MBO Dynamic Support Group, Hon. Lateef Olawumi, will on Saturday July 7, 2018 makes official declaration of his intention to have a shot in the Nigeria’s House of Representatives, to represent the Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency in the Abuja.

Venue of the event, which Chairman will be the Otun Olubadan, His Royal Highness, Senator Lekan Balogun, will hold at Famadex International Hotel, Idere via Igbo Ora, Oyo State.

Hon. Olawumi, in a telephone conversation with The DEFENDER on Thursday, confirmed that the event will also witness a fund raising ceremony for his campaign.

Some of Abuja friends of Olawumi told us the uniqueness of Lateef Olawumi’s fund raising in ensuring corruption free representation as, according to them, it would mean that his represenativeness of the Ibara people of Oke Ogun, Oyo State straightly belong to the people and accountable to the people.

According to planning, the official declaration themed, “How Credible Representation Can Help Deliver The Dividends Of Democracy”, will have Dr. Rotimi Adebayo Animashaun, an Associate Professor of Psychology, University of Ibadan, as guest speaker.

Chief Hose of the event will be Minister of Communications of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Abdulraheem Adebayo Shittu, while Alhaji Moshood Abass and Dr. Tunji Olanipekun will be Co-Chief Hose and Host, respectively.

Also expected to grace the occasion special guests of honour is a lineup of All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains including the former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala, Secretary, National Convention of APC National Convention, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, Barrister Bisi Adegbuyi, Dr. Morohunkola Thomas and former Editor of Punch, Alhaji Najim Jimoh.

All traditional rulers of Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency and Chairmen Local Government Areas in the constituency are also expected to grace the occasion as royal fathers of the day and special guests of honour respectively.
