2019 election, battle between forces of corruption, patriots – Keyamo

Festus Keyamo (SAN) has said that the 2019 general election is a battle between the “a battle between forces of corruption and patriots”.

He said this on Thursday, via a post that spurred mixed reactions among his followers and fans.

Keyamo urged Nigerians to see the 2019 election beyond a wrestle for power.

He said, “The 2019 election is not just a contest for power. If it were to be so, some of us would not come out of our comfort zone to take on this task.

“It is a battle between forces of corruption and patriots; between the ‘tin gods’ of Nigeria and the masses; b the forces of darkness and light.”

Meanwhile, Keyamo announced that he has begun work as the Director, Strategic Communications of President Buhari 2019 campaign.

On his twitter handle, Keyamo shared a picture of his visitation to Jigawa, saying that he was there to solicit support.

He said: “Right now with the Governor of Jigawa State at Government House, Dutse as part of my duties as Director, Strategic Communications of President Buhari 2019 campaign to solicit for support in the dissemination of the right narratives to various localities nationwide.

“Buhari already has many achievements he can boast of. Look at the second Niger bridge it is 40% complete and has been expanded from a 2km to a 7km bridge, look at the railway tracks they have increased them from single gage to standard gauge railway tracks the one between Lagos and Ibadan and Kano and Abuja is 80% complete.

“Nigerians will see that despite all the negative talks here and there, that it will be the easiest election for the president more than that of 2015.”

It will be recalled that Keyamo, via a letter dated April 16, 2018 and signed by Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi, the Director General of Buhari Campaign Organization, was appointed the Director of Strategic Communications.

On Tuesday, President Buhari has wrote the Senate to seek confirmation of Keyamo and and six others as chairman and members of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation.
