Sokoto promises to sustain educational policies, programmes

Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has pledged his administration’s determination to continue to sustain all programmes and policies aimed at ensuring the progress of education, especially that of girl child education in the state.

The governor stated this while signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kent State University of the United States of America, at an event held at the Government House Sokoto.

He said this was in view of the fact that no meaningful development could be achieved without education.

Governor Tambuwal further said his government had allocated largest share of its annual budget to education and that the resources committed to it by the state government had so far yielded fruitful result.
