Iran bombs more than 20 US warships, warns ‘more to come’

His remarks also carried a warning that Iran’s military response was not necessarily over, signalling the possibility of further operations against American interests.

Iran has claimed that it carried out more than 300 military operations against American interests, including over 20 operations targeting US warships, during the 40-day conflict between Tehran and Washington.

The claim was made by a senior Iranian naval commander, Rear Admiral Jalil Moghadam, who insisted that Iran’s naval capabilities remain intact despite repeated US assertions that its Navy had been destroyed.

Moghadam’s statement represents a fresh challenge to US President Donald Trump’s administration amid escalating tensions between the two countries.

The Iranian commander reportedly maintained that Tehran successfully sustained military operations against American assets throughout the conflict, suggesting that Washington’s assessment of the damage inflicted on Iran’s naval forces was inaccurate.

His remarks also carried a warning that Iran’s military response was not necessarily over, signalling the possibility of further operations against American interests.

The latest declaration underscores the continuing military and diplomatic confrontation between Iran and the United States, with concerns mounting over the possibility of another escalation in the region.
