Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, Ondo, Kwara Governors, others for Emirate FM Anniversary

According to the management of Emirate 98.5 FM, the anniversary lecture and awards ceremony is designed to recognise individuals who have distinguished themselves through outstanding service to the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
The Sarkin Fulani of Lagos and Chairman of the Council of Fulani Chiefs in South West, HRH Alhaji (Dr.) Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II, is among prominent dignitaries expected at the first anniversary lecture and award ceremony of Emirate 98.5 FM, Ilorin.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, December 17, 2026, at the Banquet Hall, opposite the Government House, Ilorin, Kwara State, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Activities lined up for the anniversary include a free health check, public lecture, fundraising and award presentation.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa; Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Senator Saliu Mustapha; Professor Yusuf Olaolu Ali; Abubakar Bature Sulu-Gambari; Engr. AbdulKadir Tunji Nagode; Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki; Alhaji (Dr.) Tajudeen Ibrahim Ajibola Eleku; Alhaji Abdulrasaq Abubakar Toyin; Engr. Yusuf Olanrewaju Sagaya; Assistant Inspector-General of Police Olohundare Moshood Jimoh; Malam Yushau A. Shuaib; Chief Mrs. Kemi Fajana; Engr. Emmanuel Olufemi Abidoye; Pastor Odekunle Epaphras; and Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulqadir Tidibodo.
Malam Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba IV, Mai-Tangale, will serve as the Royal Father of the Day.

The event is expected to bring together traditional rulers, political leaders, professionals, religious figures and other stakeholders to celebrate the station’s first year of broadcasting and recognise notable contributions to society.
