BREAKING: Iran Bombards US Bases in Jordan After American Strike on Larak Island

Iran has launched a retaliatory missile barrage against United States military bases in Jordan, hours after American forces struck Iranian military launchers on Larak Island.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its forces fired ballistic missiles at two US bases in Jordan — Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Al-Azraq and King Hussein Air Base.
According to the IRGC, the strikes targeted technical and maintenance facilities as well as areas where US fighter jets were stationed.
Iran said the bombardment was a direct response to the US attack on Larak Island, where American forces destroyed two Iranian launchers which Washington alleged were being prepared to deploy sea mines into the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
Jordan, however, said its air-defence systems intercepted multiple incoming missiles. Authorities did not immediately report the extent of damage to the US facilities.
There was also no independent confirmation of Iran’s claim that American military infrastructure or aircraft were hit.
The latest exchange marks a fresh and potentially dangerous escalation between Tehran and Washington, coming only hours after the US launched its first known strike on Iranian territory in more than a month.
The confrontation has further heightened tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most strategically important waterways and a major route for global oil shipments.
Iran has repeatedly warned that any attack on its territory or military assets would trigger retaliation against US forces in the region.
