KSF Celebrates Sultan of Sokoto at 70, Hails Role in Peacebuilding

The Kwamkur Samuel Foundation for Justice, Peace and Development (KSF) has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, mni, on his 70th birthday.
In a statement issued on Monday, August 24, 2026, and signed by its President, Evang. Dr Kwamkur Samuel Vondip, the foundation joined the Sultan’s family, the Sokoto Caliphate, the Muslim Ummah and Nigerians in celebrating the milestone.
Vondip, who is also a member of the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC), described the Sultan’s life as one marked by distinguished military service, leadership, justice, equity and respect for human dignity.
He commended the Sultan’s contributions to interfaith dialogue through NIREC, saying his leadership had promoted mutual respect, understanding and collaboration between Christians and Muslims.
According to him, the Sultan’s fatherly counsel, measured interventions and commitment to dialogue have served as a stabilising influence during periods of tension in the country.
The KSF president also praised the Sultan’s humility, openness and concern for vulnerable Nigerians, describing these qualities as an inspiration to religious and traditional leaders.
Vondip prayed for the Sultan’s continued good health, strength and divine protection, as well as many more years of service to the Sokoto Caliphate, the Muslim Ummah and Nigeria.
He expressed hope that the Sultan would continue to contribute to national unity, religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and brotherhood in the years ahead.
