Zamfara Government Commends Kaura Namoda Emirate for Promoting Cultural Heritage Through Eid Celebrations

Speaking at the event, the Acting Governor lauded the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Sanusi Ahmad Asha, for his dedication to the welfare of the people, particularly in the areas of security, electricity supply, and the provision of other essential social amenities.

The Zamfara State Government has praised the Kaura Namoda Emirate Council for its sustained efforts in organizing Eid celebrations and cultural activities aimed at fostering unity, happiness, and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the people.

The commendation was made by the Acting Governor of the state, Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi), during the closing ceremony of the five-day Eid festivities held in Kaura Namoda Emirate. The celebrations climaxed with a colorful Durbar featuring horse and camel processions at the Kaura Namoda Township Stadium, alongside other cultural displays.

Speaking at the event, the Acting Governor lauded the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Sanusi Ahmad Asha, for his dedication to the welfare of the people, particularly in the areas of security, electricity supply, and the provision of other essential social amenities.

He emphasized the importance of cultural festivals and traditional celebrations such as the Eid Durbar in promoting communal harmony, peaceful coexistence, and the preservation of customs and traditions passed down through generations. According to him, such events also provide younger generations with valuable opportunities to learn about and appreciate their cultural identity and historical heritage.

As a show of support for the initiative, the Acting Governor announced a donation of ₦1 million to the organizing committee to support future editions of the celebrations and enhance their success.

In their separate remarks, the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Asha, and the Chairman of Kaura Namoda Local Government Council, Mannir Haidara Kaura, expressed appreciation to the Zamfara State Government under Governor Dauda Lawal and Acting Governor Mani Malam Mummuni for their continued support and commitment to the development of the emirate.

They reaffirmed the emirate’s readiness to collaborate with the state government in advancing peace, unity, and sustainable development across the region.
