“You want to hear a shocking one? All of this is about using the unsuspecting Tinubu to achieve the long failed plot to help the country’s secessionist events split Nigeria into Yoruba Nation and Biafra Republic. Nnamdi Kanu never pretended on this. He said it that some US Congressmen were helping them along this line. Then what question are you asking me about? You should know this as a journalist. Forget about Christian genocide. It is a game plan. Neither America nor Trump or Riley Moore has the interest of Christians anywhere. Christian evangelist are killed and stopped from preaching the gospel in Israel. Who is controlling America to cause all the violence disturbing the peace of the world till now? Not that sane Israel? Well, I can’t say anything again. Let’s stop here,” he said.
After many contradictory positions he made leading to President Donald Trump’s alleged misinformed decisions against Nigeria, United States Congressman Riley M. Moore has formally presented a congressional report to the White House calling for sweeping measures to address violence against Christian communities in Nigeria.
This time, the measures may have hit the rock as they include his recommendation for the repeal of Shari’ah and blasphemy laws in parts of the country.
Moore, alleged to be apparently double-standard and one sided Christian activist in the US Congress, was saying this amidst misgivings that he is working with some local Christian elements in Nigeria to wrongfully criminalise Islam, Muslims and Northerners in the country while protecting one religion – Christianity – with prejudice to Islam that the people (some Yoruba Nation elements and Northern Christians) he and Trump stand with call religion of Fulani.
In a press release issued in Washington, Moore said he joined members of the House Committees on Appropriations and Foreign Affairs at the White House to submit what he described as a “comprehensive report outlining concrete actions to end the persecution of Christians in Nigeria and counter growing extremist violence in the region”.
The submission follows President Trump’s redesignation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) on October 31, 2025, under the US International Religious Freedom Act. Moore said the president tasked him and House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole to lead a congressional investigation into what he termed “the persecution against Christian communities and security challenges plaguing Nigeria”.
According to Moore, the report was the result of “months of investigation, including a bipartisan congressional fact-finding trip to Nigeria, hearings with expert witnesses, consultations with religious leaders, meetings with Internally Displaced Persons, and engagement with senior Nigerian government officials”.
“I travelled on a bipartisan delegation to Nigeria and saw with my own eyes the horrific atrocities Christians face, and the instability the Nigerian government must combat,” Moore said in the statement.
The DEFENDER reports that Moore, when he and his so called verification team visited Nigeria, failed to hear the Muslims out as he only got the side of Christians.
Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) was particularly loud, condemning the Trump’s delegation mission that tended to cause division of hitherto peacefully co-existent Nigerians along religion line.
A source who reacted to the Moore’s recommendation to Trump demanding for ending to Shari’ah in Nigeria simply dismissed the move as an impossibility.
“These guys just take Nigeria to be a colony of America. Anyway, it is not their fault, we blame President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who allows politicisation of religion and everything for personal political gains instead of putting Nigeria’s public interest first, for all of these.
“Was it not recently Trump was praising his wife? Was it not recently as he jetted out of the country that Trump brought his bombs, avoided the real affected centre of insecurity in Northern Nigeria and made straight to attack Sokoto State without any pretence as he said “I did so to protect the Christians?” even as Nigeria Muslims-government dodged from telling such truth of religious coloration as revealed by Trump?
“Was it not recently the same Trump forced the hands of our government to entering a $5.1 billion agreement to establish hospitals that will cater for Christians in Nigeria under the same so-called Muslims-led Tinubu government?” And despite all of these, it is only Tinubu’s re-election of 2027 that mattes to him amidst rumours that Trump makes behave reached a deal with him to accept those anti-Islam actions he is taking against Nigeria and retain his seat in 2027 or reject them and lost,” he said.
The respondent, who spoke under strict condition of anonymity, revealed that, “This disgusting activity of Riley Moore is not only about Christian. In fact some Christians in Nigeria have no such idea that America or Trump that Moore is working for has no interest of Christians of Nigeria in mind but simply personal interest.
