Attempted sabotage of ADC in Delta exposed, killed as party alerts police, DSS to take action

“We state clearly that this event is not approved by the recognized ADC State Chairman or Executive Committee. It is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public, create confusion within the party, and incite possible confrontation among party members—posing a real threat to peace and public order in Asaba.”
Information reaching us at The DEFENDER Newspaper from Delta shows that an attempt to create a make-believe crisis for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been stripped naked to ridicule.

This is as the party, which is apparently intact without crack, writes the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies – constitutionally charged with duty of enforcing the law and order against destabilising agents – to maintain the peace by acting accordingly because, it says, such plan is unknown to it.
The disclaimer and public petition were contained in a press release by the opposition coalition’s party alerting the security agencies to do the needful as it said it has not planned to unveil any party’s state secretariat as advertised in certain part of Delta State to hold on Wednesday December 10, 2025.
In the rejoinder jointly signed by Engr. Okolie C Austine, State Chairman, ADC Delta State, and Mr. Yebu Napoleon, State Secretary, dated December 9, 2025, the complaint was stated in clear terms.
“The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Delta State Chapter, alerts the public and security agencies to an illegal and unauthorized event being promoted in Asaba for Wednesday, 10th December 2025.
“A circulating video and notice claim there will be an “unveiling” of an ADC Secretariat and reception of certain individuals at a building along DLA Road, opposite Signature, which is unlawfully displaying the ADC logo and trademark,” said the party.
It said, “We state clearly that this event is not approved by the recognized ADC State Chairman or Executive Committee. It is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public, create confusion within the party, and incite possible confrontation among party members—posing a real threat to peace and public order in Asaba.
“We call on the Delta State Police Command and the DSS to immediately investigate the organizers, stop the illegal activity, and prevent any disturbance of public peace.
“The public is advised to disregard the announcement. ADC Delta State has not signed any such unveiling or reception event.”
