Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote present as Emir of Qatar receives US President Trump in Doha

The DEFENDER reports that the Kano State, Nigeria-born world’s richest black man and President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote GCON was present with the Emir of Qatar, His Royal Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, when he played host to the United States of America’s President Donald Trump in Doha, on Wednesday May 14, 2025.


Dangote was sighted in a photograph wherein the Qatar leader was introducing him to his US counterpart who came visit on bilateral discussions.
During the meeting of his cabinet with the visiting US President Trump, Sheikh Al Thani told him that promotion of peace was paramount.
According to him, his country is ready to continue to work with the US President to promote peace in the region.
“We can continue to work together to bring peace to our region or other regions, such as peace between Russia and Ukraine,” Tamim said during his meeting with Trump in Doha.
“We all want peace in the region and hope this time it will be achieved,” he added.
The Qatari ruler praised Trump as “a man of peace” and voiced confidence in Washington’s commitment to stabilising the region.
The emir also expressed enthusiasm about the broader US-Qatar discussions, which are expected to focus on peace efforts, investment opportunities, and energy cooperation.
He said Qatar is ready to share lessons learned from hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup with teams preparing for the 2026 edition in the U.S.
Trump arrived in Qatar marking his second stop in his Gulf tour following his visit to Saudi Arabia.
