G15 empowers 40,000 Zamfara women

No fewer than 40,000 women have been empowered in Zamfara State, North Nigeria by a political movement in support of Governor Dauda Lawal.

Chairman of the group known as G15, Comrade Manir Haidara, disclosed this while briefing journalists on activities of the group in Gusau, the state capital, on Friday May 9, 2025.

According to him, the group has visited all the 14 Local Government Areas of the state distributing cash and other assorted items to women across with the aim of assisting them to start small businesses that can enhanced their social and economic well being.

Comrade Manir, who is also the Chairman of Kaura Namoda Local Government, said the aim of the group was to assist and compliment the effort of Governor Dauda Lawal in his rescue mission for the good of the state people.

He further said that Governor Lawal had performed extremely well in all areas of human development to deserve the support and encouragement of all the people in Zamfara.

He said in Gusau Local Government alone, over N20 million were shared to women in addition to other assistance.

Haidara, however, hinted that second phase of the programme, which would focus on youth, was expected to come up immediately after Sallah.

He, therefore, called on the people of Zamfara State to continue to support the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal so for him to continue to provide the enabling environment for their socio-economic development.
