The self deceptive mischief of “Buhari did it”

By UCHE DIALA
Meanwhile most of the things they say Buhari did, are all lies and mischievous fabrications in ridiculous and diabolical attempts at whataboutism.
Some people will be busy shouting “Buhari did it”. That is their only argument or defence in the face of any wrongdoing. How mischievous and unintelligent is that.

Meanwhile most of the things they say Buhari did, are all lies and mischievous fabrications in ridiculous and diabolical attempts at whataboutism.
Let’s even accept without conceding, why are they doing only bad things that they manufacture that Buhari did? Is that not the height of crookedness, mischief and diabolism?
Why is there no good thing that Buhari did that they are doing? Or Buhari didn’t do any good thing that is honorable, relevant and worthy of emulation, for our common good?
In case we have forgotten, I will give us one example to jog our hardship sedated memory.
Each time that former President Muhammadu Buhari travelled abroad for medical treatment in the UK, he dutifully and responsibly informed the nation through his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina that he was going for medical treatment or to keep his appointment with his doctors.
Furthermore, on three of those occasions, he formally handed over to the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo via a formal transmission to the National Assembly, viz:
June 7, 2016, January 19, 2017 & March 6, 2022, respectively.
As I watch us do the rambunctious partisan and ethnic gerrymandering, I honestly wonder if we truly mean well for ourselves and our nation. Are we going forward or backwards?
Even if we have been sacrificed to or are sacrificial animals to our nation, must we also be sacrificed to or be sacrificial animals to any particular leader?
At what point do we pause and honestly tell ourselves, as responsible and patriotic citizens that our leaders are not doing us a favor? That head or tail, we lose.
If we ask the right and proper questions, does that stop us from loving a particular leader?
Any leader who gets offended when told the truth or when asked the right question is not a good leader.
Likewise, anyone who tries to stop us from asking the right questions or who demonises us for asking the right questions or speaking the truth, is an enemy of the nation.
It’s really up to up. If our mumu never do, my own don do.
