By IBRAHIM KANOMA, Gusau
The Federal Government of Nigeria will has hinted that it will end insecurity across the country in the coming new year, 2025.
This was announced by Minister of State for Defence, Hon Mohammed Bello Matawalle, while addressing thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters from across the 14 Local Government Areas of the state, who paid him solidarity visit at his residence in Gusau, on Saturday December 21, 2024.
According to Matawalle, who is immediate past Governor of the state, the Tinubu’s Administration will particularly stamp out the banditry issue that has been lingering for quite sometimes during the new year.
He said Abuja has acquired modern military hardware to fight against banditry and any form of criminality as, he said, the military and other security agencies are determined to ensure that those elements of insecurity are eliminated both in the North West region and the country in general.
The minister reiterated the determination and readiness of the Ministry of Defence to carry out orders of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu to ensure that banditry and other related issues come to an end in 2025.
Hon Bello Matawalle, therefore, appealled to politicians to stop politicising security challenges as, according to him, security issues are everybody’s concern.
He then called on everyone to support the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s desire to ensure that banditry is eliminated.
He appealled to APC supporters to support the policies and programme of the President because they aim at alleviating the hardship being faced by the people and turning the country around for better.
