Emerging information from Edet Loui’s House Abuja show an indication that the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abubakar Mohammed Adamu may have retired his seven Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) who were his seniors.

The DEFENDER reports that among the affected officers are Maigari Dikko, DIG, Finance and Administration and Habila Joshak, DIG, Operations.

Others are Emmanuel Inyang, Information and Communications Technology; Agboola Oshodi-Glover, Logistics and Supply; Mohammed Katsina, Research and Planning; Sani Mohammed, Training and Development; and Peace Ibekwe-Abdallah, Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence.

Although there has been official confirmation as to the authenticity of the information regarding the retirement, one of the affected DIGs reportedly confirmed Sunday night that it had happened but hanged the responsibility of official announcement on the Force spokesman.

He was believed to have said that they had not been official communicated with any letter of retirement but said Force PRO Frank Mba would confirm the retirement soon.
