Member of the Council of International Dance (CID), Education Future and Advancement Concept and Skills Limited (EDUFACS) is set to pilot sport dance promotion in Nigeria as it holds it grand finale of the Dancing Square Competition in Osun State, on Friday 24 of September, 2021.
The Managing Director of Education Future and Advancement Concept and Skills (EDUFACS), Comrade Kareem Omobolaji Aderemi Katayeyanju, during an interview with The DEFENDER last Saturday, said the organization, EDUFACS is just concluding the pilot part and set to move into the real Dance Sport Promotion in Nigeria”.
He added that, The winning schools of the pilot exercise of 21st and 22nd day competition at NUT will be awarded on 24th September, 2021 while the full celebration shall be done in respective winning schools with PTAs and Old Students.
The 2022 competition shall commence by first week to comprises the three categories while targeting 20 States of the federation.
Talking on sports dance, the EDUFACS Director said,
“The programme is established to comb every nook and cranny of the economy to promote education system, enrich the people and add value to the economy of the country”.
He stated that, the programme is structured into three categories namely; schools, communities and Clubs, saying, “Main target is to use dance to promote sports, education, culture and tourism, community, indigenous market, entertainment industry and Communication channel in Africa”.
On partnership, Mr Omobolaji noted that, “EDUFAC partners with some Commissions that have a kind of connection with the promotion of dance as it partners with Osun State Ministries of Education; Youth; Sports & Special Needs; Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs; Culture and Tourism and equally partners with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), ADRON Homes, VINO GANO WINE COMPANY, ALHAMMED OLA GLOBAL TELECOM LTD., and recently we received that of POWA-Osun state Chapter, and Osun state Forum of Contributive pensioners”.
On Sponsorship Mr Katayeyanju said, Globacom Limited (Star Sponsor) has contributed generously to the programme,
“We have commenced free distribution of Glo Sims of the programme in Osun state at Iwo Local Government Area, Ola-Oluwa Local Government, Olohunda and Osogbo Local Government which will soon engulf the entire state and all Police barracks”.
He also added that EDUFACS is the only firm behind the records set for Osun state and many records are in pipeline for Osun State or other States in Nigeria through us and upon partnership which are of global interest and of positive national impact.
The management of EDUFACS appealed to Nigerians in the diaspora to contribute to it promotion of education, sport, communication and other allied sectors of education through the platform.
