By KEMI KASUMU

Concerns have been raised about past representation, with some residents expressing dissatisfaction over what they describe as a lack of engagement and understanding from elected officials.

As political activities begin to gather momentum ahead of upcoming elections, Michael Abayomi Adeyanju is being highlighted by supporters as a strong contender for the Ondo North Senatorial District.

Observers note that beyond political representation, constituents are increasingly emphasizing the need for leadership that demonstrates empathy and responsiveness to everyday challenges faced by the people.

Concerns have been raised about past representation, with some residents expressing dissatisfaction over what they describe as a lack of engagement and understanding from elected officials.

Supporters of Adeyanju argue that his longstanding connection with the district sets him apart. They describe him as someone who has lived among the people and understands local realities, positioning him as a candidate capable of addressing developmental needs effectively.

Advocates further claim that his prior contributions align with expectations typically placed on elected senators, suggesting that his potential entry into the Senate could bring significant transformation to Ondo North.

While such endorsements reflect growing grassroots support, political analysts note that the electoral process will ultimately determine whether Adeyanju secures the mandate to represent the district at the national level.

In a piece titled, “Otunba Michael Adeyanju – An uncommon representative in the making”, Ayedogbon Ayodele, a member of Imole Progressive Network, write:

“Having a senator is different from having a caring hearted type.

“When you have a senator who doesn’t care about the day you qued in the sun or in the rain, such person doesn’t deserve your good consent.

“It is time to have a Man who knows where the shoe pitches us in the legs, a Man who has lived with us for years, unlike others.

“The Man who cares about our future and the development of our District. He has been doing what we expected from an elected senator. So, if this Man finally enters the Red Chamber, I know and can beat my chest that he will turn Ondo North to a paradise on earth..

“Otunba (Engr) Michael Abayomi Adeyanju is the rescue Angel sent from above,. just to liberate the district.

“Bible says, let there be light, and there was light.. Father in heaven, let your light shine, let IMOLE shine and give us positive results…”
