Two hundred students of Good People Charity Foundation, a sister organisation of Arabic Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, who have memorised the Qur’an from the Opening Chapter (Suratul Fathiah) to the end, Sincerity (Suratul Iklas), have graduated.

According to a verified post by AIM Productions, the memorisers, whose new achievement qualifies them to be among Haafiz, those Muslims who memorise to protect authenticity of the contents of the Qur’an, were presented at a well attended Qur’anic Graduation Ceremony in Ibadan on Sunday, 12 December, 2021.

The DEFENDER reports that whereas Allah has promised to – by himself – protect the Qur’an against distortions that human insincerity is capable of doing to bend the rules to suit their self centeredness, those who memorise the Qur’an are part of the divine arrangement for making it happen.

This, we gathered, is so because, when somebody decides to misquote the Qur’an for a mischievous reason, even without a printed copy, there are Muslims, who will readily expose such action because he already has it in his head.

“This is the reason, no amount of effort those who want to insert in their own so called book they want people to believe is the Book of Allah, what Allah does not say or approve, within a blink of an eye, his mischief is exposed. This is one of the great blessings of Qur’an Memorisation.

“Also, no head has the whole Qur’an seated in it, except that it is best among others and such head is not surpassed by anyone else in high intelligence and fear of Allah,” an Islamic source said.

We further gathered that it is because of this worth that great nation’s particularly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia commit huge budget to funding, not only the printing, learning of the rules and rudiments of the Qur’an but also, invest hugely on ensuring development of its memorisation among Muslims globally.

In Nigeria, the Usman Dan Fodiyo University, National Council of Muslim Youths (NACOMYO), and many more, under the close watch of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), organise Qur’an Memorisation Competition as an annual event and winners are hugely rewarded by way of encouraging development of memorisation of and commiting the Qur’an to the head.
