2 Nigerians lost to Ethiopian flight tragedy, President Buhari condoles

Following the loss of two Nigerians in the ill-fated Addis Ababa-Nairobi bound Ethiopian flight killing 149 passengers and eight crew members  totaling 157 on board on Sunday, President Muhammadu Buhari has sent condolences to the families of the affected Nigerian nationals.

Buhari had Sunday afternoon condoled Ethiopian, China and other nations whose citizens’ lives were cut short in the unfortunate aircraft crash.

In another statement issued night of Sunday by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER, President Muhammadu Buhari condoled the death of two Nigerians, Ambassador Abiodun Bashua and Professor Pius Adesanmi in the Ethiopian Airlines plane which crashed with 149 passengers and eight crew members on board on Sunday.

President Buhari says “my thoughts are with the families and friends of these distinguished Nigerians and the other passengers and crew who lost their lives in the plane crash in Addis Ababa. May the Almighty Allah give them strength and fortitude to bear the loss.”
